BUILD / CLINIC DIRECTORY & SUBSCRIPTIONS (STATAMIC)

Clinic directory and subscription platform on Statamic (Laravel)

Screenshots

A healthcare treatment directory connecting patients with regenerative-medicine clinics needed a self-service clinic-facing platform — accounts, paid subscriptions, and bulk data import — layered onto an existing Statamic content site not originally built for it.

  • Built the clinic dashboard and registration system (email verification, domain auto-verification)
  • Integrated Stripe subscription billing end-to-end via Laravel Cashier (checkout, webhooks, plan swaps, tier sync)
  • Wrote CLI CSV-import tooling with de-duplication and idempotent re-runs
  • Built an image pipeline (queued downloads, SVG sanitization, static WebP generation) and a Google Places reviews sync
  • Added subscription-tier-gated analytics dashboards

BUILD / HEADLESS SHOPWARE + NUXT COMMERCE

Headless commerce platform on Shopware 6 and Nuxt 3 for a bike retailer

Screenshots

A bicycle/e-bike retailer needed a decoupled commerce platform — Shopware 6 as the backend/API layer, a separate Nuxt 3 storefront — plus a full migration of customers, orders, and reviews off a legacy Shopware 5 system.

  • Built custom CMS element data resolvers (image galleries, product carousels, sizing charts) so merchandisers could compose layouts without code
  • Wrote CLI migration commands moving customers, orders, and reviews from Shopware 5 to 6
  • Integrated address validation/VAT, newsletter/CRM, and Instagram-feed plugins via custom Store API endpoints
  • Added AVIF/WEBP responsive image pipelines

BAU / PERFORMANCE & TEST AUTOMATION

Admin performance fixes and E2E test automation for a Shopware 6 motorcycle-equipment retailer

A motorcycle-equipment retailer's live Shopware 6 storefront had an admin-performance crash on promotions with large discount-code sets, ERP data-mapping bugs, and no automated end-to-end test coverage.

  • Diagnosed and fixed a promotion-detail-page crash/severe slowdown in the Shopware Administration by correcting the pagination criteria for promotions with tens of thousands of discount codes
  • Reworked customer-vehicle handling to reference vehicles by ID instead of free-text type, fixing an error when a customer added more than one vehicle
  • Resolved a vehicle-year filter bug caused by an incompatibility between two search/filter plugins
  • Added unit test coverage for the vehicle service and the ERP order-export customer mapper
  • Installed and integrated third-party search/discovery plugins, including a custom Composer patch to correct filter behavior
  • Set up Playwright alongside the Shopware Acceptance Test Suite from scratch, including HTML reporting and mobile/tablet viewport configurations
  • Built out initial E2E coverage for core customer flows (login, add-to-cart/checkout) and wired the suite into GitLab CI/CD

INTEGRATION / CONTENTFUL → MAGENTO

Contentful CMS blog migration and sync for geschenke.de

  • Built a custom Magento module to migrate all blog posts, media, and internal page links from Contentful via API
  • Added webhooks so Contentful edits automatically update the corresponding Magento blog data

  • Designed double opt-in email verification and tokenized alert-deactivation links for job-radar subscribers
  • Extended the Filament admin back office (company-user management, bulk actions, skill-taxonomy tooling)

  • Built an Excel-driven import pipeline for kit configuration data
  • Integrated a third-party 3D kitchen-planning API behind a secured backend proxy with custom Store API endpoints
  • Optimized the core "get plan" endpoint

PLATFORM OWNERSHIP / MAGENTO 2 SINCE FIRST COMMIT

Six years of continuous ownership of a Magento 2 storefront, from first commit

Screenshots

A storefront needed a Magento 2 platform built from scratch and then owned continuously — surviving repeated core upgrades, critical security disclosures, and a full search/marketing-stack migration — over more than six years.

  • Owned the platform since its first commit in May 2019, accounting for 740+ of the repository's ~840 total commits
  • Took the store through 3 major upgrades (2.4.4 → 2.4.6-p1 → 2.4.7-p4), each requiring a full third-party extension compatibility pass and a Zend-to-Laminas migration
  • Applied emergency patches for high-severity CVEs including the CosmicSting exploit chain
  • Migrated the search/marketing stack from Klevu to Klaviyo/Elasticsearch
  • Built delivery-date and store-collection scheduling as a core business feature

PLATFORM UPGRADE / MAGENTO 2.3 → 2.4.4

17-month platform build and major-version upgrade for a rug and carpet retailer

Screenshots

A rug and carpet retailer needed a Magento 2 storefront built from an initial codebase through search/merchandising customization, and then carried through a major-version upgrade that would break most of its third-party extensions.

  • Built out search customization (Amasty Elasticsearch), a virtual-showroom popup module, and homepage/blog widgets
  • Led the composer-level upgrade from Magento 2.3.5 to 2.4.4, resolving conflicts across tens of thousands of changed composer.lock lines
  • Audited the extension footprint, removing incompatible modules and installing 2.4.4-compatible replacements (Stripe, Fishpig WordPress bridge, rebuilt Layered Navigation)
  • Hardened CSP rules for embedded third-party scripts
  • Rebuilt the Firebear Import/Export module with multi-format and remote-transfer support

Process

How I work

My development process.

01

Discovery Call: Understanding Your Project

We start with a short call to understand what needs building or fixing — the features, the issues, and the business goal behind them. Then I dig into your existing codebase, database, and business logic, because most costly mistakes in software development come from changing code before understanding why it was written that way.

02

Technical Audit: Mapping the Risks

I audit your system to identify what's fragile — third-party integrations, custom code, data dependencies, and anything that could break during a migration or major upgrade. You get an honest risk assessment upfront, not a surprise halfway through the project.

03

Project Plan and Honest Estimates

I lay out exactly how the work will be done, in what order, and how long each stage should take. If something is genuinely uncertain, I tell you rather than quoting a number I can't stand behind.

04

Staging-First Development, Never on Production

All development happens on a staging environment first — new features, platform migrations, version upgrades, and API integrations. Your live application keeps running smoothly while the work takes shape safely.

05

Testing and Quality Assurance

I test every change against real data and real edge cases, not just the happy path. Nothing is marked done until it's verified to behave correctly across the system, including third-party integrations and custom functionality.

06

Safe Deployment and Ongoing Support

Deployment happens with a rollback plan ready, so there's always a way back if something unexpected surfaces. After launch, I stay available to handle any issues in the critical first days.
